Overview

Sam & Jeanne Restaurant is a refined Filipino dining destination nestled in the vibrant heart of Cubao, Quezon City. Located at 116 8th Ave, this eatery celebrates traditional Filipino flavors with a modern twist, making it a memorable spot for both locals and visitors eager to explore authentic cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant’s highlight is undeniably its Talaba Series, where oysters take center stage with ever-delightful variations. The Talaba Omelette offers a delicate balance of silky eggs folded over plump oysters, accented by onions and fresh herbs that evoke the sea’s sweetness paired with comforting warmth. Meanwhile, the Calamansi Kissed Crispy Oyster delivers a satisfying crunch with its beer-battered shell complemented by zesty calamansi and flavorful sauces that awaken the palate. For those craving a luscious, indulgent treat, the Cheesy Baked Talaba combines creamy cheese and crisp garlic toppings to elevate this classic seafood ingredient.

Complementing the savory offerings are the Pang Himagas, the restaurant’s sweet finale. Their take on traditional Filipino desserts is both nostalgic and inventive. The 7 Wonders of Turon is particularly notable for layering seven distinct sweet flavors, served alongside smooth kesong puti and a unique carabao milk gelato. Meanwhile, the Malolos Fried Suman reinvents the beloved sticky rice treat with a crisp exterior paired with ripe mango and muscovado syrup, perfect for a satisfying contrast of textures and flavors.

Sam & Jeanne also caters to coffee enthusiasts, serving expertly brewed espresso, Americano, and crafted milk-based coffees like lattes and cappuccinos, ideal for rounding off a meal or enjoying a casual break in a lively urban neighborhood.

Designed for food lovers who appreciate depth of flavor and cultural authenticity, the space embraces a cozy yet modern vibe, suitable for intimate meals or casual gatherings. Cubao’s dynamic energy enhances the experience, making Sam & Jeanne a must-visit for those seeking a genuine taste of Filipino culinary artistry delivered with finesse and heart.

The place is nice and clean. The service very good. The food was great. You might think it’s pricey but considering the size of the servings it is actually cheap. The only thing is it’s in the residential area, just a short walk from Cubao commercial and a bit dark and secluded.

The food was delicious and the ambiance is very nice and clean. My favorite dish was the baked Talaba and the Bangus with cheese, my goodness! I also loved the dessert, we got the Turon and the odd ice cream. Delicious! Will be back for more.

Had a great time dining at Sam and Jeanne Restaurant! The Gourmet Pinakbet with etag was amazing! The mashed pumpkin was incredibly creamy and smoky, and the balance of flavors was just perfect. Truly comforting and unique. We also tried their cocktails with a twist, which made the whole night extra fun and memorable. Highly recommend for good food and a great vibe!

This place is a hole in a wall restaurant at the back of cubao commercial area, actually it is tuck in a residential street discover this restaurant because it is near the place where we rent motorcycle. The ambiance was clean, the place was spacious, there are also frozen meats, hotpot balls and other frozen items for sale. We ordered some their dishes that havw some twist in it like Tortang Talong rice with saba banana, caramelize tomatoes, beets etc. I would say that the price was on pricy side but their serving makes the price affordable since the servings are huge as for the ingredients hindi tinipid however the taste of some of our orders are not as we have expected nor outstanding. The dinakdakan with pears was overpowered with the fruity sweetness, some are bland like the chami noodles. The sisig also dont stand out. I love the cheesiness of the oyster. As for their house blend ice tea i dont like much the taste seems there is a hint of cinnamon ( idk) and find it too sweet. The order also took to arrive seems only one chef was cooking considering we are the only customer because of that we just resort to have our orders take out already as its almost their closing already. As for the staff they are pleasant and attentive.

Best restaurant in Manila from a convergence of factors: Staff is all filipino, however their service matches European/Western values and quality. Food wise, there is a whole range for everyone, classic filipino dishes and some with a twist. Quality wise it has never failed, and I ate here almost everyday for a while . There are quite a few dishes with seafood, which I really enjoyed too . Price wise, very affordable, given the quality of everything (location, staff, food presentation and quality). You can eat decent for 3-400 php, which what you'd usually spend on at a regular chicken inasal, just without all the quality S&J has to offer. There is no service charge or other hidden charges that many other restaurants in manila levy on the customer. Overall, brilliant All-in-all .

An 8 month old modern Filipino cuisine restaurant in the heart of Cubao away from the hustle and bustle of a mall. We enjoyed a lunch of Crispy pork kare kare and cheesy fried bangus with mais con bingsu for dessert. Great food, ambiance, and service. No complaints. Features a bar of interesting gelato flavor and chillers of fish and meat to take home. Worth coming back to.

Stand-alone restaurant that serves good iced desserts: bingsu, ice cream, halo-halo among others. The food is good too! I particularly liked their cheesy baked oysters and baked bangus. Oh, and service was attentive too. Restaurant is spacious, comfortably cool and clean.
